Google Career Certificates provide people with access to in-demand jobs through rapid reskilling without the need for a college degree or prior experience. Take courses in the fields of cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing & e-commerce, IT support, project management, user experience design and gain the skills needed for the jobs of the future.

These certificates were developed by Google employees with decades of experience in these fields, and are hands-on, practical, and rigorous. They can be completed in three to six months part-time.

Build fluency in foundational AI skills and best practices, and learn how to use AI responsibly. You'll move beyond the basics with hands-on practice, gaining the in-demand skills and confidence to apply AI. You'll also earn a certificate from Google to share with your network.

Google Gemini is free for anyone to access at gemini.google.com. By enrolling in the Google AI Professional Certificate or any Google Career Certificate, learners get three months of no-cost access to Google AI Pro (normally $19.99/month) that gives them access to Google's most capable AI models.

I registered for a Google Certificate course but haven't received the confirmation email.

Available invites are batch sent every 3 business days. Please check your spam if you have not seen your invite 5 business days after requesting or email help@nclive.org. The invite will come from Coursera, not NC LIVE or Google. If the program is currently full, you will be waitlisted and will not receive an invite until there is room.

Can individuals under 18 participate in the certificate program?

While there is no specific age limit to study these courses, they are hosted on Coursera, which requires users to be at least 13 to have an account.

I signed up for a certificate course and was prompted to sign up for a 7-day trial or pay for Coursera. What should I do?

This program does not make all courses on Coursera free. Check out the list of free courses and certificates available. If you search for courses outside of the curated list, you will see courses that have a cost. If you attempt to sign up for a course before receiving your invitation, you will also be prompted to pay.

I receive an error message: “You don't have access to this content. If you need access, please contact your organization for assistance.”

This is likely due to not signing up with the emailed invite link or signing up for a course outside of this program. If you are having trouble resolving the issue, please reach out to help@nclive.org.

Eligibility & Residency

This specific enrollment program is reserved for residents of the State of North Carolina. If you live outside of North Carolina, please visit the official Grow with Google website to find enrollment opportunities available in your area.

Privacy & Data Sharing

To provide you with access to these professional certificate courses, please be aware that your full name and email address will be shared with Coursera and Google for the sole purpose of creating your learning account and granting you access to the platform. This data is used strictly for statistical reporting and to help us improve the program for all North Carolina learners.

Important info about signups and availability

Limited space is available. If there is no space available, you will be added to the waitlist and invited if/when space becomes available.

Filling out the form and receiving your email invitation to join the program does not guarantee your spot. Joining the program and enrolling in a course is required to secure your license.

If your account becomes inactive/idle for over 30 days, your license will be revoked and you will have to re-request a license to regain access. Any progress you have made in your enrolled courses will be saved.
