360 Core/Client Center Downtime

Starting tomorrow, Friday, February 8, 2019 at 8pm Ex Libris/ProQuest is migrating systems applications to a new data center that will result in 24-hours of downtime for staff-facing applications including 360 Core/Client Center.

Libraries may consider implementing a custom side panel to alert patrons to possible linking issues that will occur, described below. Instructions on how to create side panels are available in the Summon Knowledge Center and an example can be seen in NC LIVE's Summon.

January 17, 2019 notice:
Ex Libris/ProQuest is migrating systems applications to a new data center that will result in 24-hours of downtime for staff-facing applications including 360 Core/Client Center beginning at 8 pm on Friday, February 8, 2019.

Full details and FAQs are available on the Data Center Migration Page.

How will this affect Summon?
Summon will remain available and the Summon index will be searchable.

However, linking to resources will not always function correctly during the 24-hour downtime.  Open URL linking will be down which will impact linking to certain resources starting at 8pm on Friday, February 8, 2019. Ex Libris/ProQuest also uses IEDL, a way to link directly to resources, and this will not be impacted. Unfortunately, not all content can be reached thru IEDL and that is when open URL linking comes into play.

Contact the NC LIVE Help Desk with any questions.
