Biography

Claire joined NC LIVE in August 2016 as Assistant Director.  Before coming to NC LIVE, Claire worked as Acquisitions Librarian at Tulane University Law Library, where she purchased new materials, managed subscriptions for print and electronic resources and oversaw the library’s budget. Prior to Tulane Law Library, Claire was the Reference and Instruction Librarian at Mary Baldwin College. In this position she provided research assistance and taught course-integrated instruction sessions to a wide variety of students including undergraduates, graduate students, adult degree and distance students.  Claire also served for a semester as Assistant Librarian on Semester at Sea, traveling around the world while providing library services to students and faculty aboard the MV Explorer ship. While earning a Master of Science in Library Science from UNC Chapel Hill, Claire worked for the Special Collections Research Center at NC State University Libraries and for the Undergraduate Library at UNC Chapel Hill. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and Music from State University of New York at Geneseo.
