SERVICE ALERT: ProQuest Outage

Update 2/14/24:  All ProQuest databases are back up and running normally. Please contact the NC LIVE Help Desk if you continue to experience issues.

ProQuest resources, including HeritageQuest and Historic NC Digital Newspapers are not responsive and appear to be down. Users may encounter an Authentication Error error message. 

We are in contact with ProQuest about this issue and will let you know when we have any updates.

SERVICE ALERT: ProQuest Newspaper Outage

2/14/24: ProQuest Newspaper access is back up and running normally. Please contact the NC LIVE Help Desk if you continue to experience issues. 

Users trying to access the periodical homepage of the New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal in ProQuest, may experience a pop-up error page, "we seem to have encountered a problem". This error may occur with other periodicals as well. 

We are in contact with ProQuest about this issue, and will let you know when we have any updates.

NC LIVE website & proxies- Downtime- Friday, Feb 16, 7:30AM

On Friday, February 16 at 7:30am, NC LIVE will perform OS updates on our servers. This may result in intermittent downtime from 7:30-8:15am of the following systems: 

  • NC LIVE Website
  • EZproxy for libraries using NC LIVE Hosted Proxy, barcode pattern matching and NC LIVE password 

We will send out an email when the updates are complete.

Films on Demand and Just For Kids are currently inaccessible. Users will get stuck on the NC LIVE splash page, or the loading page, and never move forward to the resource. We are in touch with Infobase about this issue and apologize for any inconvenience this causes.
