The NC LIVE HomeGrown Collection is now set up as an Institutional Repository in Summon. This means that you can subscribe to the NC LIVE HomeGrown Collection using a separate database code, DBID:(BXBCN), in the Ex Libris Client Center. We made this change so the collection would be easier to manage in the Summon Client Center. The discoverability of the titles will remain the same from the user's perspective.
Previously, NC LIVE HomeGrown titles have been discoverable through the NC LIVE Catalog (SV-), in the Summon Client Center, along with ebook titles from other NC LIVE permanent collections.
On August 25, 2022, we will remove HomeGrown titles from the NC LIVE Catalog (SV-). If you wish for HomeGrown titles to remain discoverable in your Summon instance, please subscribe to the new database code: BXBCN. However, please remain subscribed to the NC LIVE Catalog (SV-) since other NC LIVE resources will remain in that collection (Ebooks on Ebscohost, Hoopla, ABC-CLIO).
Steps to subscribe to the new HomeGrown Collection database code (BXBCN):
1. Sign into the Ex Libris Client Center: https://clientcenter.serialssolutions.com/CC/Login/Default.aspx
2. Click on "Data Management" in the top box
3. In the "e-catalog" blue bar at the top of the screen, change the drop-down boxes to "Database", "Code equals", and search for: BXBCN
4. The result that comes up should be "NC LIVE HomeGrown Ebooks".
5. Click "Edit" in the top right-hand corner of the gray box.
6. Change status to "subscribed" and save.
