Raleigh, NC and Boston, MA, September 6, 2017 – Conducting research in the 21st century often means navigating fake news sites, biased media, and contradictory online information. Information literacy has emerged as a critical skill to achieve academic, professional, and personal success. Thanks to a partnership between the state’s library consortium NC LIVE and Credo Reference, Credo Online Reference Service will offer North Carolinians a trustworthy starting point to find information about their research or personal topics of interest. Credo provides background knowledge, illustrates relationships between topics, and cites the information they provide simply and consistently.

Update: The vendor reports that the system issues affecting access to LearningExpress Library have been resolved. Some users may need to clear their browser cache & cookies in order to see update
All NC LIVE member libraries now have access to Credo Reference. This is a new resource for NC LIVE's 2018-2020 resource cycle, and it may be used by all library staff and patrons. As with all new 2018-2020 resources, the NC LIVE contract for this product begins January 1, 2018. Credo is providing courtesy early access to this resource.
