Whether you’re staffing a reference desk, teaching information literacy classes, promoting library resources, or managing electronic databases, it’s important to know the ins and outs of your NC LIVE resources to help your communities succeed. In Resource Training workshops, you’ll get hands-on training with NC LIVE resources from the experts. We’ll explore content, navigate databases, and brainstorm ways to use them in your communities.

Resource Workshop
Location: Cabarrus County Public Library in Concord, NC
Explore content, navigate databases, and brainstorm ways to use NC LIVE resources in your communities. Resources featured in the workshop will be selected by participants on the registration form. Options include Transparent Language, LearningExpress Library, Ferguson's Career Guidance Center, Just for Kids, and more. Guided by NC LIVE content experts, you’ll head back to your library with a new wealth of NC LIVE resource knowledge!
Registration is free and includes breakfast and lunch.

Strategic Planning Workshop
Location: Chapel Hill Public Library in Chapel Hill, NC
A strategic plan informs every major decision the library makes but the process of creating one doesn't need to be overwhelming. This workshop will involve hands-on training on developing strategic plans that covers marketing, assessment, cost-saving strategies, and more key skills. Learn how to incorporate feedback and get buy-in from staff throughout the strategic planning process. You also do not need to be a manager or library administrator to benefit from this knowledge. If you are interested in getting practical advice and resources for your library's next strategic plan, this is for you!
