EZ Search can be found on the NC LIVE homepage. It consists of a single search box that searches 12 popular databases simultaneously. These databases contain, but are not limited to, full, peer-reviewed journal, magazine, & newspaper articles, as well as books and encyclopedias.
Advanced Search allows you to enter multiple search terms, while selecting to search against different fields such as Keyword, Subject, Title, and Abstract. You will also have the option to limit by date range, select full-text only, and include your library catalog. Before starting your search, make sure you select a category from the list directly below the search fields, or you can scroll further down the page to select individual databases. There are over 50 databases to choose from, to see the complete list select the "Advance Search" tab at the top of your screen.
The results page will display your article citations, grouped by database, in the order they were received from our vendors. You can select the "View" button at the end of the article citation to view the full article in the vendor's interface.

If you want to access a particular resource, or a specific type of resource, you may want to select the database yourself. Click on the "Browse Resources" tab for links to each database. Databases are organized in lists, as you will see along the lower navigation bar. You may use the Subject and Type list to see databases arranged according to the subjects they cover, the Alphabetic list which arranges each database alphabetically by name, or the Vendor list which allows you to see all resources provided by each vendor. Not all resources are in EZ Search, such as our poetry and maps databases. [Top] Browsing Resources by Subject and Type
