Service Issue: Access to NC LIVE Databases
NC LIVE's login process is currently experiencing a known service issue. When attempting to login to databases, many users are seeing the following message: "Attempt to authenticate to non-existent session." NC LIVE staff are investigating the issue and are working to restore access as quickly as possible. As we have more information, we will post updates to this blog. We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for your patience as we work to resolve this problem.
Update: 12:35pm, Saturday, October 22, 2011 - NC LIVE staff are continuing to work with our hardware service providers to restore access. They have determined the cause of the issue and will need to reset our services. We expect this issue to continue until our services can be fully reset. We hope to have this problem resolved by later this afternoon.
Update: 4:15pm, Saturday, October 22, 2011 - The login outage that some remote users saw occurred between approximately 5:30pm on Friday, October 21st and 2:00pm on Saturday, October 22nd and affected all NCLIVE-provided proxy access. Users coming from registered IPs (within NC LIVE member libraries or on-campus) or via institutional proxies were unaffected. The issue has now been resolved and users should be able to access all NC LIVE resources. If you continue to see any login issues, please contact us at http://nclive.org/support. Again, we apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience as we resolved the issue.
